Nixe III Project

http://www.nixe3.com

The Nixe III project began in the year 2010. Its main objective is to make a comparison, to the extent possible, between the Archduke's Ludwig Salvator of Austria work and the current reality. ¿How has the Mediterranean changed in the last 100 years? We will respond to this question both from the social and natural sciences just as the Archduke did.

In 2015, the 100th anniversary of the death of Archduke Ludwig Salvator, we hope to publish all of the comparisons that have been completed at that time. In the meantime, you can follow our voyages by reading our blog on this website.

For our first voyages, we chose the destinations covered in those translations. In 2010: Columbretes Islands, Minorca, and the Aeolian Islands

In the coming years, as we manage to extract information from the Archduke's German-language works, we plan to visit other destinations in the Central and Eastern Mediterranean, such as  Croatia (2011), Greece (2012), Northern Africa, etc.

The website is the tool that we use in order to spread the information and the learning that we develop during the duration of the project. In the website's homepage it is possible to observe the 30 destinations that we have selected.

The website allows to access the summaries of the works of the Archduke, and the comparisson reports that we develop.

Also we have included a section that shows the data related to the Marine Resarch that we deploy at the same time that we sail around the Mediterranean Sea.
